Thank you for using Acuity Finance. Your privacy is critically important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information when you use our mobile application and services.

1. Information We Collect and How It is Stored

We do not collect, transmit, or store your financial data on our servers. In fact, Acuity Finance does not have any private servers or cloud databases of its own. Acuity Finance is designed with your privacy as a priority:

• Financial Data: All financial data, transactions, and budgets you input are stored locally on your device and synced exclusively to your own personal Google Drive account. All your data flows directly into your Google Drive without passing through any third-party servers. We have no access to this data.
• Profile Information: When you sign in with Google to enable synchronization, we access your basic profile info (name and email address). This information is used strictly for local display purposes within the app, so you can easily identify which account is currently active for sync.

2. How We Use Your Information

Because we do not collect your personal financial data, our use of information is strictly limited to the local operation of the app:

• Your Google Drive account is used solely to backup and restore your own database files.
• Your profile information is used only to show your active sync identity on the profile screen.
• We do not track your usage, sell your data, or use it for marketing purposes.

3. Data Security

We prioritize the security of your financial data. Since all data is stored on your device and your Google Drive, its security relies on your hardware and your Google account's security measures. We use secure connections (OAuth) when the app communicates with Google Drive.

4. Sharing of Information

Because we do not collect or store your personal or financial data on our servers, there is no data for us to share, sell, trade, or rent to any third parties.

5. Your Rights

You have full control over your data. You can delete your local app data at any time by uninstalling the app or clearing its data. You can also manage or delete your synced backups directly from your own Google Drive account.

6. Changes to the Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page or through an in-app notification. Your continued use of the app after such changes constitutes your consent to the updated Privacy Policy.
